Imagine if they survived and after Ford was done having fun with the GT, Raptor, and FoRS, they decide there needed to be a Thunderbird ST (Super Coupe?)
EDIT: i can’t post to OPPO on my computer but I can with my phone.... Kinja acting up?

I most certainly want an 87/88 Turbo Coupe to “restore” and hoon around in. 2.3L of turbo goodness. That and the 2nd gen/four-seater is extremely underrated.

Good to see one of the Gen 11's with something other than the standard chrome wheels. Never liked those. Just not sure how much you can do to that body style to make it more aggressive. Somewhere between a slightly murdered out 11th gen, and that Orange SC, I like these.

Can’t risk upstaging the Mustang tho, heaven forbid...
So how would you slot a T-bird into the current lineup? Focus-sized convertible/coupe? Or a two-door Fusion?

I wonder if Ford is actually the originator of the “four door coupe”.

In the sense of abruptly taking a pre-existing coupe line and grafting on rear doors without changing the cabin size and leaving the back seat pretty close-to, very possibly. We talk about having a coupe roofline being one of the signifiers, but since it has the same roofline as a ‘64-’66, you can’t say it’s not the roof of a coupe. Of course, a few years after this, Chrysler toyed with the idea of a four-door Barracuda, but it never made it to market.

I disagree.
Though the 2 seater was a beautiful vehicle, the 4 seater eventually settled as a larger and comfier Mustang option, which is something I would love in a vehicle from the last decade for DD and family hauling duties.
